18 x 27" Carried off by the flu in 1920 at the age of twelve, she was the cherished daughter of a prominent Parisian chef. My model was the marble statue of her on her grave in Paris, which includes the bench and columns; her parents wished to remember the robustly healthy, devoted, bright and warm young lady she'd been about to become.
