12 x 18" Sophie Arnould, a star of the Paris opera, singing the part of Iphigenia in 1775 to an audience of aristocrats who were on sociopolitical shaky ground. The aristocracy must have known a revolution was brewing. The story had been changed to include her rescue, a happy ending. She's in the Louvre, in profile; it takes a bit of cleverness to find this view of her.
